When you sign in with Google, we collect:

• Google ID: A unique identifier from Google

• Practice session data: Questions answered, scores, time taken
• Progress tracking: Topics studied, performance metrics
• Settings: Your preferences for difficulty levels and topics
• Login times: When you access the app

We use your information solely for:

• Authentication: To verify your identity and let you log in
• Personalization: To show you your progress and performance
• Education: To track learning progress and provide appropriate difficulty levels

4. Data Storage and Security

4.1 Where Your Data is Stored

All your data is stored locally on our family server (Mac Mini). We do not use cloud storage services or remote databases. Your data never leaves our home network except when:

• You access the app from outside the home (via our domain)
• We authenticate you with Google (only during login)

4.2 Security Measures

• HTTPS encryption: All data transmitted is encrypted
• Secure sessions: Login sessions expire after 30 days
• Password-free: We use Google OAuth, so we never see your password
• Local storage: Database files are stored on a private home server

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Google OAuth

We use Google's OAuth 2.0 for authentication. When you click "Sign in with Google," you're redirected to Google's login page. Google handles the authentication and sends us only the basic information listed in Section 2.1. Please review Google's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your data.

5.2 Anthropic Claude API

We use Anthropic's Claude AI to generate practice questions for the GK module. When generating questions, we send topic names and difficulty levels to Anthropic, but never your personal information. Please review Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

6. Data Retention

• Account data: Kept as long as your account is active
• Practice history: Kept indefinitely to track long-term progress
• Sessions: Automatically deleted after 30 days of inactivity

7. Your Rights

As a user, you have the right to:

• Access your data: View all your practice history and settings
• Delete your account: Request account deletion (contact admin)
• Export your data: Request a copy of your practice history
• Opt out: Simply stop using the app and your session will expire

8. Children's Privacy

This app is designed for students preparing for law school entrance exams. While we don't specifically target children under 13, if minors use this app, they should do so under parental supervision. We recommend parents review this privacy policy with their children.

9. Cookies and Sessions

We use minimal cookies:

• session_token: A secure cookie to keep you logged in (30 days)
• oauth_state: Temporary cookie for security during login (10 minutes)

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies.

We may update this privacy policy occasionally. When we do, we'll update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced on the login page.
